What a job considering the position he was in – he had to stop a two-game losing streak against the very club that just let him go. And he responded – with a very efficient two-hitter over 7 innings.
Now that’s pretty impressive.

Pirates fans are on their last leg of hope and the 2008 draft represents that leg.
Emails circulating in Pirateland suggest an all out revolt if the best player isn’t selected.
Will the Pirates listen? Or are they planning to go on the cheap again?

The Pirates have recalled Bryan Bullington from Class AAA Indy to provide some long relief to a recently overworked bullpen.
To make room on the 25-man roster, reliever Marino Salas was sent back to Indianapolis.
The 27-year-old Bullington is 3-6 with a 5.68 ERA at AAA. He was named International League pitcher of the week last week.
