Dejan Kovacevic of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is reporting that the Pirates have begun contract discussions with OF Eric Hinske.
Hinske hit .247/.333/.465 and hit 20 home runs in 381 at-bats for the Rays last year, and
his zone ratings in the outfield were actually pretty positive.
