What are you waiting for Neal?

By Jake • Apr 24th, 2008 • Category: Feature Story

Neal Huntington made a decision back in February to shut down Tom Gorzelanny who had come up with shoulder tenderness before his first scheduled start of the spring.

Back then Huntington explained his reasoning by asking a question: “Why? Why start him now rather than letting him have a chance to rest?”

Pirates players now join the fans asking Huntington the exact same question: Why? Why continue to run Gorzelanny out every five days?

It’s a legitimate question and one Huntington better think carefully about before he answers.

Or he just might end up with a lot more problems than he could ever expect.
