Craig Wilson Returns

The Pirates signed Craig Wilson to a minor-league contract Tuesday. Wilson, a first baseman and outfielder, will be assigned to AAA Indy. He last played in the Bucco organization back in 2006, where he was traded to the NY Yankees for pitcher Shawn Chacon.
The 31-year old Wilson had arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder last summer, which cost him the remainder of the season.
He was cut in spring training this year after failing a physical with the Cincinnati Reds.

It’s a storybook tale, surfer dude Craiggers back with the org. But he better lose some pounds and get serious about his game if he ever expects to make an MLB roster again.
I guess we better stock up on Pepsi and self-improvement books here in Indy.
