I’m not bitter. Are you?

Now THAT is one bitter dude.

“It’s not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations… There are a whole bunch of folks in small towns in Pennsylvania… who are bitter.” — MSNBC quoting Obama

John McCain immediately called Obama an “elitist” and Hilary Clinton joined in with him. Duhhhhh…

And, what’s up with his preacher? Man, that cat sure looks like a Bobby Seale wannabe to me. The disturbing part of it is, Obama just kept going back to his church for more.

Well, the upcoming PA primary will probably show Mr. Ohhhh bah ma just how much they think of him. Not that they like Hillary any better, just that name calling like his preacher’s anti-American rhetoric make some wonder if Bin Laden is funding Obama’s campaign.

Bitter? Naw. Just not stupid.

Peace.

  1. Jake, please stick to your statistical analyis and stay out of politics!

  2. I come here for your consistent Bucco-negativity, not your own short-sighted generalizations on political matters. Then again, it\’s your site… why not alienate some visitors?

  3. hey gunner - I had to hurry and get rid of the sweep post just in case we… we… well, just in case.

  4. Jake, I get it, man…you\’re just trying to draw a comparison between the Bucs 15 years of losing and Obama\’s 20 years of listening to that loser preacher. And it ain\’t easy to just turn it off and ignore what you been seeing or hearing or believing for such a long time!

  5. good post jake…i totally agree

  6. This may end up being your most controversial post…ever. I love it…controversy sells.

  7. It’s a blog folks. Blogs are for opinion. If you want news….kinda….read the Post-Gazette.

  8. Actually, he\’s right. We are bitter, and we should be. My small town is disappearing, literally. Thats the only way to describe it. Its disappearing year by year. Eventually its going to become a ghost town. I don\’t think any politician gives a damn about how things have gone for PA, specifically small town PA. And if they do, they still won\’t do anything about it. Call that bitter if you will, but its the truth. Like he said, a lot of people don\’t vote based on their economical interests anymore because they know that those interests won\’t be a priority for politicians. So we look for other things to vote on, whether it be guns, faith, abortion, immigration, etc. If Obama actually intends to do something for us bitter Pennsylvanians other than just talk like every other politician has done; then good for him.

  9. IAbout being \

  10. Regarding being “bitter”, it’s like Jack Nicholson said, “You can’t handle the truth!”.

  11. I think the \’gunner\’ has it about right. People simply can\’t handle the truth and now the truth speaker Mr. Obama will be made to apologize and slink back to the safety of the medioocre that so many Americans feel comfortable in their own skin.

So what if he\’s elitist. He wants to be President. I don\’t want Johnny GED running the show.

To say Bin Laden is running the campaign smacks of a subtle disgusting overtone because his name is Obama.

  12. I’d say it was ’cause his middle name is Hussein, DC.
And hurrah for non-bitterness and voting down B.Hussein and Hitlery!!

  13. As if there isn’t enough political BS out there already, now a Pirates Blog is going to give political opinions. This site really needs to figure out what it wants to be. If this is a Pirates blog, you should stick to baseball.

  14. I guess the only difference in Jake commenting about politics, which he obviously knows nothing about and baseball, which he has proven over and over that he knows nothing about, is that this is supposed to be a baseball blog. I came back one last time to see if anything has changed since I said that this site had jumped the shark. It hasn\’t and it\’s just circling the drain more quickly now. Turn out the lights Jake….the party is definitely over. It\’s time to just delete the bookmark to this page. From ESPN to MLB to OBN….so are the days of Jake\’s baseball life. Goodnight all and I hope you find something better to read online than this drivel.

  15. Well, if it hadn’t jumped the shark before, it just did.

  16. Ouch! Touched a nerve there aye Jake?

I’m bitter about 15 losing seasons. Nice Ballpark though!
