The Post-Gazette is reporting that the Pirates have reacquired infielder Matt Kata, signing the former Bucco to a minor league deal and assigning him to AAA Indianapolis.
The Pirates also picked up starter Jason Davis with a minor-league contract.
Davis, a 27 year old righty, has made 52 MLB starts and 130 MLB appearances, touting a 20-22 record with a career 4.78 ERA.
The Indy Indian’s rotation appears to be set now with Davis, John Van Benschoten, Bryan Bullington, Luis Munoz, and Ty Taubenheim.
